These are some before and after pics of his cake eating experience. Keaton was spoiled and actually got two cakes, one on his actually birthday and one at his party the following Saturday. Of course, he didn't complain at all... HE LOVED IT!!! I can't believe my little Budd Bud, or Buff Buf, or K Budd, or whatever you wanna call him is one year old!! WOW!

Where have all the good jobs gone?

So I know in my last post I wrote that I was going to be a nanny, but due to circumstances beyond my control that completely fell through... So I have been on the job hunt again and let me tell you in case you don't already know it's a jungle in the job market right now. I had an interview yesterday but that is the first call back I have received in over 25 places that I have applied to. But I'm not losing hope. For now I am going to enjoy being home with my son and husband because Jer doesn't start school again until next week so I am just going to enjoy this time where we can all be together as a family : ) And I am going to catch up on my sleep... zzzzz Oh and I promise I will post some updared pictures the next time I write!

THE BAD NEWS: JEREMY'S FINANCIAL AID IS TAKING FOREVER TO GET APPROVED SO WE HAVE TO PAY FOR HIS TUITION OURSELVES UNTIL IT COMES
THE GOOD NEWS: AT LEAST HE'S IN SCHOOL WORKING TOWARDS OUR FUTURE. HE'S GOING TO BE A PHARMACIST

THE BAD NEWS: THIS HOUSE IS A MESS
THE GOOD NEWS: IT'S BECAUSE WE'RE FIXING IT UP FOR MY GRANDPARENTS AS A SURPRISE AND IT IS GOING TO LOOK AMAZING WHEN IT'S DONE

TRIP TO UTAH

We were up in Hurricane, Ut this week visiting Jeremy's family. Keaton had his first swimming experience and he was a natural. He really really loves the water! We also went to the park which was super fun, too. These are just a few of the pictures from our Utah adventure. Keaton learned how to crawl a lot better after watching all his little cousins. It was great to be away and enjoying slightly better weather. Side note: Keaton said 'mom' on Mother's Day and I couldn't have asked for a better gift : )

I had to post this picture. I was inspired by my sister-in-law Becky to take a naked baby picture of Keaton and I'm so glad I did. Isn't he adorable. I think everyone needs a naked baby picture. I set this 'photo shoot' up myself. That's my black dress hanging on the couch in the background, one of Keaton's baby blankets, and my scriptures under the blanket. I took this picture just after one of his baths, hence the hairdo : ) We had to cut his photo shoot a little short though because Keaton peed on the blanket, but hey we had fun!
